The challenge at Tom Bradley International Terminal was to speed up and secure international passenger processing while meeting strict Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements. The system had to integrate into a busy environment, ensuring operational continuity and a smooth passenger experience.
- Supply and installation of more than 120 SkyLane biometric enabling facial recognition-based one-step boarding
- Seamless integration of IDEMIA’s facial recognition technology within the SkyLane gates
- Assurance that biometric data is not retained by EASIER, with secure processing handled by U.S. authorities in the cloud
- Development and management of the passenger manifest system with a unique identifier (UID) for precise tracking and enhanced access control
The project enabled a significant streamlining of single-step biometric boarding, enhancing security while improving the passenger experience. The privacy-compliant biometric solution has become a benchmark for efficiency in a major airport terminal.
