The challenge
Kempegowda International Airport aspired to elevate their passenger experience by designing their new Terminal 2 as a tribute to the Garden City of Bengaluru while setting a benchmark in sustainability
The Solution
Otis installed 29 escalators, 50 elevators, two dumb waiters and 26 moving walkways with a focus on passenger experience and use of regenerative drives for energy-efficient operation
The result
Passengers walking through this terminal have aptly described it as a ‘walk in the garden’
Smart technologies and energy-efficient elevators and escalators were integrated with the airport's management systems to enhance passenger comfort and contribute to the building's overall cost savings.
